Can my smart tv downstairs receive amazon fire tv programming from the amazon fire tv box connected to my tv upstairs? The Fire tv box is plugged into a dumb tv upstairs and into the network by a cat 5e cable. Not sure if the content will be available downstairs in the family room if I put a smart tv down there

No, you can't connect a firebox upstairs and send that infomation to multiple TV's, which is what I'm assuming you want to do. You would need either to move the firebox to the other TV or get a second one. A smart TV can't "tune in" or "receive" a signal from amazon box.

The tv would be 15' straight down. from the wifi router and 8' to the left of the router.
