Can we track a sony vaio lost laptop

i had lost my sony vaio E series laptop can i track it using ip address or serial number

Unless you had specific software on it like "Lo Jack" for laptops, you are probably out of luck. You cannot track it via IP, as if someone was using it on their network, they have a different IP address than your network, i.e. a dynamic IP address.
