Solved! Canon DS6041 how to upload to compute

I have an old Canon DS6041 EOS that hasn't been used for several years. I took some photos this morning, but cannot upload to my computer. I used to put the CF card into a slot on my printer and it would allow me to upload to my computer. The last time I did it was several computers ago, and now the option is no longer available; it is grayed out. Can anyone help?

Use the cable that came with your camera and connect it to the USB on your PC. A window will appear and ask you to what you need to do. Check on copy images to PC, that's all.
