Can't get video, just audio...

Just bought a Samsung UHD and a Denon AV. I want to use the tv just as a monitor. So far the best I can do is get audio and video from just the cable box. The bluray and xbox1 will give me audio, but no video. Is my problem the receiver or the tv? How do I set this up so that everything runs through the receiver?

Hello.

If your Denon is an older model, and doesn't support HDCP 2.2, it will not work well. Try changing the HDMI settings in your Denon menu?

Answering my own question: The trick is the install order...

The Samsung tv is aggressive in assigning inputs. In order to make it all work, plug everything into the receiver first and power it up. Then add the tv last. Good to go now...
