CF Cards

Hello,
My external card reader keeps asking me to format my CF card eventhough I have done it. How can I upload my photos from the card to my computer if it keeps giving me this message?
I'm using Windows 7 and a Canon 30D camera

You have to format the card in the CAMERA. If you format it with your computer you will effectively erase it.
