chromecast to a laptopr

Is it possible to use Google Chromecast to cast from my mobile/tablet to my laptop and then project the casted image through a VGA projector.

Chromecast stick won't work since it's designed to connect to the HDMI input of a TV. No HDMI input on your laptop.
You should be able to use an HDMI to VGA + audio converter

to connect the stick to your projector and stream from your tablet or laptop to it directly. You will need a 5v USB power supply to run it.

Thank you for your reponse and I have also found a youtube video where a guy is conecting directly to the VGA monitor which look like exxactly what I am looking for.
