I use a Samsung 32" 1080p HDTV (Model No: LA32B530).

When I connect my laptop to the TV using an HDMI cable (Its branded - - Bandridge and 1080p certified), the colors all look very saturated. The text is all blurry. I'd say the VGA connection has far better quality as compared to HDMI.

Please help.

P.S. : All three things - TV, Laptop, and the cable are HDCP compliant.

The first thing I would check is that your laptop is outputing a 1080p signal. It should say "1920 by 1080" in the settings tab of Display Properties.

For the overly saturated colors I would check that the TV picture setting are not set to "Vivid."
