Comparison between canon and sony digital camera

Hello,
here i am liking to purchase a digital camera either of two i.e i have a choice of canon or sony digital camera.so here am very confused which to take..so i would like to know which would be better according to its price from 8000 to 13000,and clarity,video resolution and other features as well...

You don't buy by price, you buy for features, resolution, media it records on or speed of media its capable to use, ease of interface with PC.
For professional equipment photo, DSLRs, the names are Olympus, Nikon, Minolta, Canon and Fujitsu, in that order of quality. For video recording Sony was the leader, depends what features are available today.
