Custom Vaio S Series

I am starting college and never had a laptop before so I was just looking to remove my doubt before I buy one. Basically I want to be able to use Premiere Pro/After Effects/Photoshop on this laptop with a little gaming on the side. I only want to spend around $1000 for it too. This Vaio S looked to be the best I could find.

For $1025 it has:
15.5 IPS 1920x1080
3rd gen i7 quad core 2.2 ghz with 3.2 turbo
GTX 640M LE
4gb DDR3 1333
500GB 7200rpm

The RAM is terrible but I was going to add another 8gb to it. I'm hoping 12gb DDR3-1333 is enough for editing and such.

I'll offer two suggestions all from www.XoticPC.com that fits into your budget and has and IPS panel. You can see all the available 15.6" laptops in the following link. You can customize them, but upgrading the GPU is not an option on any of them.
