Deciphering a virus

Hi!
I recently got an obviously malicious email, with a VBE attachment. I am now determined to see what that code does, but it's encrypted.
Does somebody know how to decode a VBE file?

Look, you've said it yourself: its "obviously malicous". Just don't worry. You may accidentally unleash the virus when trying to decipher the code! Look the email/virus up online, often a security group like Kaspersky or McAffee will tell you what it does.

1. Set up a whole second PC, OS included, that you don't mind wiping and reinstalling on a regular basis

2. Install MS Visual Studio Community on this new PC

3. Copy that file to a USB, and open/investigate on that other PC

Thanks for the advice dude, but you didn't answer my question 😉

I solved it myself by using the VBS decode script from Sysinternals.
Then I was able to deobfuscate it easily.
