I will try to be detailed and brief , my dell g5 5505 laptop was overheating and had fan issues . We ordered fans and re did thermal paste .
Computer was running like new with 0 hardware lag after this for 3 days .
I also noticed there was a windows update in my update notifications that I was pausing .
I’m not sure how but when I turned my laptop on the next day it went right into a Dell update if I can recall .after that I have not been able to post .
There seems to be no power to the keyboard or usb ports etc .
But the laptop is in a booting loop that restarts itself every 7-10 seconds .
Fans spin but I haven’t been able to get into Bios settings , no display / black screen.
We have tried pulling ram , restarting , pulling cmos , pulling ssd . Nothing is working !

I do t believe this is under warranty it’s a 2021 model I got in the middle of pandemic .
I saw a thread were a guy reset rmt ( clock ) then was able to downgrade to old bios . My issue is I can’t get into bios , keyboard doesn’t seem to be working …just backlit

To verify what was recommended earlier. Did you do this?

1. Turn off the computer
2. Disconnect the power adapter
3. Then press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds to drain residual power
4. Reconnect the power adapter and turn on the computer.

If the BIOS doesn't start or allow any sort of access, a rescue USB drive is very likely not going to work. For it to function, the BIOS must initiate the boot sequence.
We don't know if the bios is shot, but simply that it's stuck in a boot loop. That does not conclusively prove that it's corrupt; it simply can't run windows in the current conditions. Since my suggestion involves a quick, simple process with no investment (beyond a thumb drive - which almost everyone already has) it's worth a shot.

Let the OP decide what they're willing and able to try and see where it goes.

I haven’t tried this yet , computer is still doing the same thing , my friend said it’s bricked and won’t get into bios even with ssd out of system
