Current situation:
I have
1) an LG G PAD 8" with a broken screen.
2) A 19" monitor lying around

Can these two be married?

The tablet screen doesn't turn on at all. So anything any solution that needs touch interaction is not possible. I am curious if the Flex Ribbon connector for the internal lcd can be customized to drive/connect an external monitor VGA/DVI/HDMI?

In several DIY forums I looked I didn't find an answer.
Is this possible?

I don't honestly think that idea would work.

You could try a "SlimPort Adapter for LG G Pad 8.3 Tablet" or similar product, but I can't say for sure if it would work. Most devices are set up to connect to say a TV not a Monitor, but it 'might' be possible.

However, to be honest, with what that device (and similar ones) cost, you could just get yourself a new screen for the tablet. It would be cheap and pretty simple to replace.

A new tablet is surely a solution in case you have a broken one!
In my case I don't need another tablet (have one), I am just interested in learning diy stuff.
