Do Torrents Continue to Seed even when you turn off your PC?

Let's say I left a torrent seeding in utorrent, then I turn off my PC, will the torrent continue to seed even if the PC is closed? Sorry if this is a bit of a dumb question....

No power, then nothing is on, how can it be 'doing' anything?

Now if you just turn off the monitor (not the PC itself) then the computer itself is still on and thus will still 'do' stuff.

Well, Maybe the internet is doing it's job seeding the torrent. hehehe....
