Does adgaurd block ad revenue from youtube just as adblock does?

I want to switch to adguard because it seems to go undetected from other sites I use which now annoy me by telling me to disable adblock and whitelist them which isnt going to happen, however, I seen a post about adguard saying it just hides the ads and doesnt block them, is this true? if it is true wouldn't that mean youtubers would be making money off my view?
