I'd like to get some headphones to pair with the V-moda Boompro mic (I already own the mic), but I only have KRK 8400 and KRK 6400s. I love these headphones for their mostly neutral sound (I have a slight preference for the 8400 though) but I can't use them with the Boompro. Can someone recommend some over ear headphones with a similar sound? I don't want to pay any more than $150 AUD if possible.

Got two threads confused, meant to say MDR-1 (stylish and decent sound). The 8400 have some strange frequency response bumps though, so I'm not sure if anything will sound exactly the same to you. Check out http://www.innerfidelity.com/headphone-measurements and see if...
hd518 uses 2.5mm jack while boompro uses the much more standard 3.5mm. this will not work without an adapter and said adapter will place much more strain on the jack than even just using a boompro alone (it acts like a lever and can snap the plug off).

basically any headphone with 3.5mm detachable cable will work although the boompro design is bad since it places much strain on the jack.

Yes, I know anything with a 3.5mm jack will work (KRK headphones won't because of the locking mechanism in the jack recess). Is there anything that sounds like the KRK 8400? I really like it's neutral tone that most headphones don't have except studio headphones.

Also MDR-7506s cannot be used because the cable is not detachable, so I'd have to do some extensive headphone modding (I could do that to my KRKs if I had the skills and put the time and effort in).
