So I decided to clear my browser's history due to lag and... questionable content (Hey, at least I admit it.), but then it started acting up. I tried closing it, I tried clearing the tabs, I even tried starting over with the Google tab, and no dice. Is there a way to stop this without re-installing?

Solution
Reset your browser settings:
Click the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar.
Select Settings.
Click Show advanced settings and find the "Reset browser settings” section.
Click Reset browser settings.
In the dialog that appears, click Reset.

If that doesnt work then I would consider running a virus scan with malwarebytes which can be gotten here @ https://www.malwarebytes.org/mwb-download/
