I am buying Lenovo 50-70 but am confused which model to go for.

GTX 860M 2GB model costs $929
GTX 960M 2GB model costs $1,149
GTX 960M 4GB model costs $1,249

Quest 1: Since there is a huge difference in the price of 860M 2GB & 960M 2GB model, Will 860M 2GB model serve the purpose of playing almost all forth coming & existing games on medium or low settings smoothly?
All these have an i7 processor & 8GB RAM

Quest 2: Please also explain what precisely am I missing if I go for a 2GB GPU rather than a 4GB of the same GPU series?

1. Yes the 860m will do fine for that. Comparison. between the two cards:

2. The 2 GB is the sweet spot for gaming. However, you will only benefit from having 4 GB if have a higher resolution than say 1080 because at higher resolution, there is more detail and that is when the extra memory comes into play. The texture will require more per memory.
