Hi,
I want to ask which card is better for gaming and more specific what gives more performance ddr5 or directx 12

NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 950M - 2.0GB DDR3 Video RAM - DirectX® 12
VS
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 860M - 2.0GB DDR5, 640 CUDA Cores - DirectX® 11

In one side we have ddr5 which is twice faster than ddr3 in another side we have directx 12 which gives 20-70% more fps(as far i undertand it).
If there is someone who can give me more clear view about directx and how he will work with old games and how good it can be in future i will be very grateful.

Regards

both bare the same Maxwell architecture and shaders (640 unified) and both have 128bit bandwidth. obviously gtx860 equipped with ddr5 is the faster card.!

both direct x11 / shader model 5.0 capable. anything you saw regarding direct x 12 is just marketing as gtx 9xx series are newer products!

''Similar to Fermi and Kepler, Maxwell / GM107 supports DirectX 11.2 with feature level 11.0 only.''
