Hdmi cord but no hdtv

Okay so I recently got a huge Yamaha flat screen and j have a PS3 and I want to hook it up but some of the games I play require a hdmi cable. My flat screen doesnt have the hook up for the hdmi cable is there any type of adapter I could use idk but someone help please

Completely unknown. Until we have a better clue of what inputs the Yamaha has...no one can suggest anything.

If you have a DVI input on the TV then that is the one to use. An adapter like this one will be needed:

so you can get sound on the TV. It will also work with other HDMI sources too as it has HDCP
