HDMI & Toslink Audio over 5m distance [connect pc to home theater]

Background:

I have a PC entertainment setup in one room and an HDTV Home Theater setup in the adjoining room. I want to setup my HD 4870x2 to display on 1080p monitor in the other room to occasionally use the HDTV in the other room. It gets more complicated as I don't have an HDMI enabled receiver so I need to send the audio using Toslink Optical to the receiver in the other from the computer room.

My question is as follows:

The distance can be as much as 5m - 10m. Will there be any signal degradation?

the following are the cables I am planning on using:

Please advice. I am purchasing this from outside the US so this has to be a one time thing and cannot rely on returning for better/different product etc. Budget is under USD 100.

Long run like that the only thing you need to worry about is interference. Optical cables are not affected.

There’s always degradation on long runs unless the cables use are high grade. The question is will you notice much the difference when degraded? Not likely. Make sure you don’t run the cable along the power line.
