Headphones have no sound?

One of the three black lines on my headphones audio jack came off. I bought these a month ago didn't notice it was peeling and it came off. Now the sound isn't working. Is there a way to fix it?

New headphones, or check warranty on existing ones to see if you can get manufacturer to replace them (though if the jack-plug is already damaged I wouldn't want another pair from the same manufacturer anyway).

Suggest you buy another pair of headphones and pay a bit more for quality.
