Hear yourself through headphones (using a key)

Hello there fellows!

I am currently using a blue yeti microphone and some standard headphones, and when I connect the headphones to the microphone jack I can hear myself. Great. The problem is that I constantly hear my keyboard all the time, so therefor I wonder if there is any way I could press down a key or a button to hear my self and then release to not hear my self. If that makes any sense
