Help about my home theater

Hello guys,
My mother got home theater Dual HCS 203 from her friend and we can't get him working.

I connected it to my TV (panasonic tx 42aw404) with optical cable and nothing happens. I only hear sound coming from TV but not from my speakers connected to AMP.

AMP or whatever it's called, got DVD too and I put CD in and all worked great except rear speakers.

Please help me.

You need to configure your TV to output sound to your AMP, as if your TV is outputting sound, then it is configured to the internal speakers of your TV. I tried looking at the TV's instruction manual, although it seemed to be in Italian. Looking at the pictures, I didn't seem to find an optical jack on the TV, so you may have the wrong cable. I would recommend using an HDMI cable to send audio from the TV to the AMP.

My AMP is older so it doesn't have HDMI 🙁

You could try using an RCA cable instead
