Solution
Even though they both use RCA connectors the extensions you link to are for line level connections not speaker level. A coax cable has more capacitance then speaker wire. If you need longer speaker cable then RCA plugs like these

and some two conductor speaker wire are all you need. You could even cut the wires you have an splice speaker wire to lengthen them. RCA plugs that are tight can be expanded slightly to fit easier.
Better audio systems do not use RCA plugs for speaker connections as they are not as good as other methods. Cheaper units do since it saves them money and...

By tattered I mean it was in the back of an old drawer with dust, and roach traps

I have another question. Could I use these http://www.skywalker.com/Products/HQ-Series-Component-Video-Cable-6ft__SKY71036.aspx

as an extension cable instead? I know they are video cables but they look like they could work

Im sorry but I couldnt understand you and I want to make sure.

You say the video cables I posted in the 3rd reply would work? Lol http://www.skywalker.com/Products/HQ-Series-Component-Video-Cable-6ft__SKY71036.aspx

I've found that some fancy RCA cables, the plug fit very snug, you may have to twist it back and forth to fit. Sometimes you have to use a pairs of pliers to widen the plug's lips just a bit, but I sense you are not comfortable doing that. In this regard, cheaper cables fit are better without fuss.

You dammnnn right, Im not comfortable doing that Lol I just listened to a song with headphones and I have come to the conclusion that the static is coming from the laptop and not the speakers or the rca cable..Now I have a new problem I guess
