Hello, I can't seem to find any option in the bios to unlock a core on the M3A770DE. I've seen screenshots of a "OC Tweaker" tab, but the 1.7 version of the bios I seem to have doesn't have that tab (and I can't find anything that looks like an "unlock" option on the menus I do have). If I need to bios flash, can you point me to which bios I need to download?

I have an Athlon X3 just like the December $500 build article.

Many thanks!

I've tried this on my computer--same mobo, except the processor is an Athlon II x3 455--and it won't boot anymore. It turns on, but it's not recognizing any of the interface elements (screen, mouse, keyboard, etc.). Is there a way I can fix this?

Unlock bios not only from CPU stepping / revision bios and BATCH but motherboard Power Phase Design too. Some Asus and Gigabyte need minimum 8 Phase Power Design or higher.
in bios Ec firmware [Hybrid] and ACC [auto]

1. Turn off Cool N Quiet
2. Boos vcore +0.05v
3. Do not touch cpu multiplier, this section need stable on system
, or No overclock anything
4. Do not use stock heatsink
5. Make sure motherboard have adequate voltage regulation
6. Make sure have good PSU
7. Hwmonitor will show 0C in core temperature
8. Use sysofsandra / Everest might working
