Hello all,

I'm moving in into a new house, and I just found out that the LED TV back at my parent's house is to stay there, so I guess I will have to get a new one... -.-

Thing is, I have NO experience at all when it comes to televisions, but I do have some "filters" to go with:
-> [42'',48''] dimensions
-> Best "bang for buck", since I'm not rich :)
-> LED TV
-> No need for smart TV.
-> 1080p. No need for 4K
-> No need for 3D.
-> I prioritize quality image over any extras. So basically, no extras and only good image would be a good buy.

I'm not much into the best brands, and specifications that make a good purchase.

I live in Portugal but have no issue ordering from abroad (Amazon and stuff).

My limit would be ~450€.

Thanks all in advance.

For TVs, I picked mostly only from Sony.
Sony TVs have less firmware/software issues according to my experience.
Others will say differently.

The best bang for buck here where I live is SONY KDL40W705 for about €469.
It is only 40" tho'.
You can google a bit to see the full specs.

I would look at either Sony or Samsung. I just bought a new 4k 65" and it was a Sony. The Samsung was as acceptable to me as well. I have a friend who sells Sony and not Samsung. So I got a great deal on the more expensive Sony. The Sony to me has better motion reproduction, black level details and color rendition. The Samsung for me has better view angle and color vividness. You can adjust either set so that in the end there is a totally superior and acceptable picture from each.
