Hello, I am visiting Toronto and can't get the TV in my borrowed apartment to work! The Digi Box (DTV 940)won't stay on. When switching the power supply on the green light on the digi box comes on for about 20 seconds but wont stay on. I have tried the power button on the remote (and just about every other button) the TV remains 'no signal'. Ive tried all of the av channels on the TV. any ideas gratefully recieved.

you know 20 seconds is really weird right?

its like something is trying to gain enough electricity to finally turn on completely, but something else is draining (or getting warm and causing a problem the hotter it gets)

could be a software problem.. could be a hardware problem.
how old/used is the circuit board?

its not a fuse.. lol
maybe it needs to be reset somehow.

Thanks for the reply - I got it sorted in the end. You were right it needed a reset. Somehow the remote and the box had forgotten how to talk to each other. The power was there all of the time but the box was defaulting to standby mode.
After all that...........the movie was trash!

Thanks
John
