Ever been chased by a madman? I may not be able to stay in front of my friend Killian2 forever, but my plan is to stay in front just long enough to overtake Steelrainn so I can stay in seventh place on the team! (Bwaaahhhaaaaa....)

So give me your best shot Killian! 'Cause I'm sure giving you mine!... course that little XP2400+ I just built (and overclocked) should help some (heh..heh..) First time I've EVER seen over 1000 Mflops on SETI Spy on a single processor (start of a work unit)

Ahhh... some competition... I haven't had this much fun in ages! Hummm... I'm gonna have to change my signature to "1500 Mflops in SETI"!

Hi Scout...Did you reslly see >1500 Mflops? That's a lot 'O" flops. My 2.0 Ghz Xeon will do just >1000 Mflops at the end of a wu...but 1500...that's insane.

No.. 1500 adds up the average Mflops for all my rigs together. With the XP2400+ at 2.1 GHz I saw 1051 Mflops at the start of a WU. Over the whole WU, this new Athlon will hold around 375 Mflops average. It'll pretty much knock off 3 hour work units! My 2.1 GHz Northwood P4 takes about 3.5 hours per WU...

I used to have a pic of setispy showing my 1.67 GHz athlon hitting 1100 Mflops at the beginning of a unit... lost it though...

Silverpig,
I donno... I was pretty impressed when I saw that 1051... maybe I'm just not watching it close enough. Does your Athlon break 1000 regularly on WU's? That's what, an XP2000+ you have?

It's a 1800+ oc/ed. It only does it for the first 2.5% or so...

I'm just finishing one right now, so I can post what it typically starts at. It does vary a lot though.

Is there any way to get a screenie of setispy?

The mid 800's seems to be pretty typical with startup on these... I watched the XP2400 this morning and saw 1056! WooHoo!

The thing is, the actual flops vary so much at the beginning. Setispy only takes a "snapshot" at certain intervals. If your computer and setispy fluke out and time it so that it takes it's snapshot at the peak of your processing speed, it looks much higher. Again, it's just a chance thing though. I wish I still had that screenie though...

Hi Scout. Your going to stay ahead of me. Probably forever. 1 of my machines is still down and I just sold another to a friend who needed one in a hurry. Combined that has dropped my daily wu production by 10 wus. I'm down to 6 machines and not planning or increasing that number. Maybe even getting rid of another 1 or 2. Just really no reason to have them when all they do is cruch Seti units. lol

Awwww... 'cmon Killian! I was having fun peeking at where you were at. I think I've gone a little overboard trying to keep in front of you... In fact I just caught Steelrainn. He hasn't posted units for awhile. Wonder if he's quit or something.

Right now, I've got 5 machines crunching SETI 24/7
KT3 Ultra2 with an XP2400+ at 2.1 GHz
P4 1.6a on an SiS board at 2.13 GHz
A7M266 with an XP 1800+ at 1.53 GHz
MSI K7Turbo2 with an XP1500+ at 1.4 GHz
and an old A7V133 with a 1.2 GHz. Duron

Plus I turn on my nForce rig upstairs in the evenings and on weekends. It's got an XP1700+ I think I've been pushing out almost 30 per day with this setup.
