Hi,

Got a Airtel HD STB recently... got this connected to my samsung LCD TV through a HDMI cable..

Also have a panasonic 5.1 Home theatre (It's NOT an AVR)... Now wanted to check whether it is possible to get the sound output through the HT speakers for all the HD channels.

Specs are as follows..

1) Airtel HD STB - has a HDMI port + Co-axial SPDIF port
2) Samsung LCD - has two HDMI AV in ports + Co-axial port
3) Panasonic HT - HDMI (ARC out)

Regards
Gopi

Solution
If the TV has ARC then you would turn that on in the TV and HTiB and it should work fine
If not then you could connect the SPDIF RCA digital out to the HTiB if it has a digital input.
If that digital input is optical you would need to convert to optical.

If the HTiB has an analog input you would need a DAC to convert the STB digital out to analog.
