Buying and installing RAM.

While the RAM is a problem, it won't change your issues of an entry-level CPU and almost certainly no GPU other than the integrated.

For a less vague answer, complete specs including the model of your laptop. Knowing it's some Celeron over a 20-year period and has 4 GB of RAM is extremely limited information.
