How can I remove a book from my Kindle device through amazon.com but not permanently delete it from the Amazon cloud?

I want to remove an eBook from my Kindle from Amazon's online site. How can I remove an eBook from that Kindle device through amazon.com but not permanently delete it from the Amazon cloud?

I don't think that is possible. The way they have things set up, last I looked at least. However I would really suggest you check with Amazon to see if it is possible to do that.
