how do I down load a hifi sd card onto my canon eos 1000d camera. the instructions are very vague.

The SD card is the storage. The camera saves photos that are taken by the camera on to the SD card. Then you transfer the photos from the SD card to a PC. This can be done in two different ways:

1. Use the USB cable supplied with the camera and connect the camera to a USB port on the PC. The camera's SD card will show up as a storage drive on Windows Explorer. Then you copy the photos to a suitable directory (folder) on the PC.

2. Use an external card reader and insert the SD card in the reader and copy the photos. If your PC has a card reader you may use that.
