I have a Samsung 32" attached to a Comcast HD cable box. I connected a Polk 2000SB to the cable box since the TC has no optical output but the cable box does. The SB has power - everthing is on, but no sound from the SB. What else do I have to do?

Also have Apple TV and I understand netflix comes through with dolby sound - the Samsung TV has no digital preference (dolby vrs something else or dolby off/on settings) - does that mean it is only in dolby format which the Polk 2000SB does not decode?

It might be possible to use an adapter cable from the cable box to the SB. Most cable boxes have RCA sound outputs and you may be able to use a cable that has RCA connectors on one end and 1/8" stereo plug on the other to input to the source 2 input on the SB.
