How to hard start Samsung tab4

I have a Samsung galaxy tab4 tablet and can't remember my password. I'm ok losing everything on it I just want to get in and use the darn thing. I'm very frustrated now. I've tried the power button and vol up at same time. It only puts it in safe mode.
