Hp 14 Play 1080p?

Looking to buy a Hp Stream 14 to travel with, and all the movies that I will watch on this laptop
are stored on an external and the quality is mostly around 1080p mkv formatted.

I am wondering if this laptop will be able to play them without constant freezing or buffering?

I'm writing on my Stream and I have to say it's very doubtful. It's display is pretty basic at worst. I'm not a gamer but I do watch YouTube music videos and the picture is quite shaky. I'd recommend the Stream for anything else except high-end displays.
