My HP Pavilion x360 is getting the above-mentioned error. The problem is, the hard drive works, I know it does. I know this because I temporarily plugged it into my desktop and installed Windows 7 on it.
The problem is that the laptop simply does not recognize that the hard drive is plugged in. My fear is that either the motherboard is shot or the ribbon cable connecting the hard drive to the motherboard is shot.
However, if anyone here could come up with a less frighting conclusion and possibly provide a solution, I would be highly appreciative.
Also, some background information is that the default OS was Windows 8.1. I formatted the hard drive and installed Windows 7, as mentioned above. I also have attempted turning off secure boot, booting in Legacy mode, and setting USB 3.0 configuration to auto.
None of those solutions yielded any results. Again, any help in this matter would be HIGHLY appreciated.
