Hp pavillion converter for monitor

Hello,i have an hp pavillion lap top that has a monitor issue. it will come on on occasion and when it does it has a pink hue to it. when it goes off if i put a flashlight on it ican see the info tho it is in pink... someone told me i should try replacing the converter... can you tell me where to find one of these and how to change it out please.
