I have a digital cable TV subscription and have the coax cable plugged directly into the capture card of my PC. Then, I have an ATI graphics card with an HDMI output going to my Sony Bravia 32" TV. I installed BeyondTV and I can get video, but no audio. The software recognizes my onboard audio, but not the ATI HDMI audio. Is this just an issue with this software, or is my hardware not setup correctly?

What graphics card do you have? Did you install the Realtek driver for ATI HDMI audio? Its separate from the video driver.

Go to the download section of Realtek's website and download the latest "ATI HDMI Audio Device" and install it.

I'll give that try. I made sure that all the equipment had device drivers based off the device manager. I will look at this on Monday when back from the road. Thanks for the suggestion!

My setup is as follows:

*ASUS AH3450/DI/512MD2(LP) - graphics adapter - Radeon HD 3450 - 512 MB w/ HDMI
^I have the HDMI cable carrying the audio and video signal to the TV

*Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1600 ATSC/ClearQAM/NTSC TV Tuner MC-Kit 1183 PCI Interface
^I have the cable coax plugged into the back of this

*ASUS P4P8X motherboard with on-board 6-channel AD1985 audio CODEC

I am now running Windows 7 Ultimate w/ Media Center and am having the same issue as I did with BeyondTV.

Audio for everything else works (i.e. Internet TV, Music, etc.), it's only when I attempt to watch live TV through the capture card that I get no audio.

How could I "tell" the capture card to direct audio to the HDMI on my graphics card?

Thanks for any suggestions!
