I am looking for a laptop with an ssd, i7 processor, 4gb ram, 1080p, an Ethernet port(if possible), ssd, and preferably around 12", 14 is too much. One with a good battery would be great. Doesn't matter price and thank you if you find one.

How about a Dell XPS 13? With their infinity edge to edge display, it ends up sized closer to a 12 incher. Although the top CPU available is the low voltage i7-7500U, and that version has 8GB of RAM and a "Quad HD" display for $1649. There is also an i5-7200U version with a 1080p display for $999. The i5-7200U is only slightly slower than the i7 versions (both being dual-core).

12.5" Lenovo ThinkPad X270, base price of $999, but you will need to upgrade options to get the configuration you want. It has a built in ethernet port, and you can upgrade the RAM since it has a single RAM slot. The Dell XPS lacks the ethernet port and the RAM is soldered into the motherboard making it impossible for you to upgrade the RAM in the future. 4GB of RAM is really not a lot.

Upgrading to an i7-7500u will add $160. A 1080p screen with be an additional $200. A 180GB SATA interface SSD is $50 and that is the largest SSD they offer. I suggest you simply upgrade the CPU and the 1080p screen when you order it. Purchase your own SATA interface SSD of whatever capacity you need, clone the hard drive, and install the SSD yourself.
