What exact model of Polaroid TV? What connections does your cable box have?

1. Connect the HDMI out of the Dish box to the TV.
2. Connect the AV or RF out of the Dish box to the DVD/VCR for recording
3. Connect the AV out of the DVD/VCR to the TV for playback.
