I plan to install windows in virtualbox and put a bunch of viruses on it. I have plans too keep my host pc from getting infected. I am going to do it in Linux, Make sure no windows pcs are connected to the network at the time, and do it on a computer that I don't use anymore. However, I want to make sure that there is nothing that I am missing. Is there anything that I should do as well? I don't want to lose any of my computers or my family to lose any of their computers. We all use mac except for my sister who loves her chromebook and my laptop is a pc. Any ideas?

What is the end goal here? There are plenty of tools that allow you to sandbox malware so it can be exploded and analyzed, you don't need to do it in a VM yourself.

I'm going to assume that is enough and hope that it is. If no one has any other measure of security, I guess I did pretty well.
