As kanewolf says you don't need a USB port on the TV at all.
You will need a 5v power supply of at least 1a with a micro usb plug to connect it to the Chromestick.

Plug the stick into an HDMI input. Done.

You can use a USB charging adapter to power the cnromecast.

The pin outs are different for HDMI and USB connections. The interface is also different. Might it be possible to pass on the make and model of your TV? [strike]Most probably you will need to get a TV that has USB ports on it.[/strike]
