Installing a blu-ray drive on a laptop?

Hey all,

I own a series three samsung laptop, and I was wondering if it was possible to install a blu-ray drive from an old laptop to it. Not very hardware savvy so I have no idea. I would just go ahead and try it but I don't wanna possibly screw up my laptop and find out it was all for nothing. The blu-ray drive is from an old sony laptop, I've already taken that one apart. Any answers and help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I doubt the interfaces are the same. Is the Samsung optical drive removable? If so, remove it and compare it to the Sony bluray drive.

Haven't tried taking that one out yet, as it seemed much more complicated than the sony drive but I'll see if I give it a try. Any other people on here care to help out?
