I live in Korea and have a Korean laptop (LG XNOTE C400) with an AC Adapter (Input 100-240V~50-60Hz 1.5A) that I'd like to take with me when I move back to Canada.

Of course, the plug itself is the wrong shape for a Canadian power outlet, but is it possible to just buy a new AC Adapter in Canada and switch it with the Korean one?

It is, you can even just use an adapter to make the current plug fit your outlet. Many times just the cord has to be swapped.

In Canada you should have 120v~ 60hz and your adapter lists being full range.

If you had a device that was lets say 220 volts only, you would require a small transformer(larger with higher current devices.). These transformers are sold as travel adapters.
