Is it worth fixing my laptop's BIOS?

I recently set a password on my laptop's BIOS and I forgot what it was. Unfortunately I did not have it written somewhere and I can no longer access my BIOS. I wanted to install Ubuntu/Linux and be able to use other operating systems. I can't change the boot device without the BIOS.

I read that when typing the password wrong 3 times the BIOS should show a code that can be used to recover the password but when I did it it freezes at "Incorrect Password".

I have an Asus N550JV-DB72T laptop. It cost me $1050 and I would like this problem fixed but I'm not entirely sure if it's worth it.

How much would it cost to get my laptop fixed? I bought it recently (February) and I registered it to get the product warranty.

Does anyone have suggestions? Opinions? Thoughts?

I have contacted Asus support and they said there is no master password. They said that I will have to send it in for RMA service. I have to contact them again and ask about the cost to get my BIOS fixed.
