I have a sony XM-GTX6040 and i want to use a sub on bridged mode. But is my 4 ohms speaker compatible?
The manual says speaker impedence is 4ohms to 8ohms on bridged. But i am confused whether they are talking about the speaker or how much the amplifier can handle.
TIA

What they mean is...when it's not bridged, you should use 4 ohm or 2 ohm speakers....and when it's bridged you should use 4 ohm or 8 ohm speakers.

Now this doesn't account for any parallel wiring or series wiring you might do with the speakers. This is just for one speaker....or the total of the combination you have hooked up.
