Hi all,
A couple of days ago, my Pioneer VSX922 started to work only in 7 speaker config, even though i have only 5.1 configuration, which i've used for the last 1.5 years.
Reset, MCACC and all other settings don't work - there is sound when i test the speaker configuration, and when i set the system to 7.1 config (either with FH, SB or B speakers) but when i set it to "normal" 5.1 setting no audio from DVD / SAT (both with HDMI) nor from internet streaming works ....
also - changing between sources, muting or changing DSP modes results in "clicking" sounds which didnt exist before.
any idea???
thanks!

One thing you can try is to unplug the AVR from the wall to reset everything. Depending on the AVR it might take 12-24 hours or more to basically reset it to factory settings.

It could an electronic malfunction or the firmware software is boinked. Too bad it doesn't have a RS232 port to use for firmware upgrades.

Try unplugging first and see if that helps and then maybe we can offer other solutions.

be seeing you, the Prisoner...
