JPEG pics stretched

Tried and tried but can't get JPEG pics to show up
normal size on Sony XBR910, they are always stretched horizontally.
Black borders all around.

How are you getting them on the screen to begin with? Is this by connecting
a camera to the TV or are you playing some kind of JPEG-CD on your DVD
player? There is probably an output setting on the device you're using
(camera, DVD player, etc.) that says whether to output 4:3 video or 16:9
video. It's probably outputting 4:3 by default and being stretched by your
tv.

You need to adjust the aspect ratio of the TV or the DVD player. If you are
using progressive scan, and component video, you may not be able to adjust
the TV.

Samsung HD931 DVD player. I copied JPEGs from computer

to CD.
