Looking for a job asap

I have a straight talk phone. Its the G2 stylus 2 something like that. But anyways I put a sim card in it from another brand brand new phone straight talk phone but every time I try to dial the *222890 activation thing a note pops up saying, this sim card is not registered or registered please contact your wireless service provider... Please can someone help me??
