Looking to Add equalizer to hi res audio set up connectivity issue

Hi - I have a new hi res audio blu ray DVD player that has coaxial & hdmi outputs only. This is a home audio only player for CDs, cd-r, sacds etc. I am looking to connect an equalizer or sonic maximizer between the DVD player & receiver however what I'm finding is equalizers seem to have just rca or similar inputs. Is there a way to connect the equipment together ?

You could connect the coax digital audio output to a DAC.
Connect the output of the DAC to the input of the EQ.
Connect the EQ out to an analog input on your audio system.
If you have a multi-channel system be aware that the EQ will affect all channels.
